During this quarantine time, we stock up on food and necessities. One thing we never forget to include is a tray of eggs. Now, you don’t want to cook all those eggs the same way right? You will of course have your favorite, but at this rate that we mostly are at home and cooking, we would explore and try different ways. I have listed here quick and easy ways I’ve tried so far:
BOILED
Nothing fancy. All you need is water and egg. Fill up the pot enough to cover the egg and bring to boil. Depending on how you want your boiled eggs – soft to hard, will be the time you need to keep it in the pot – 6mins to 12mins.
SCRAMBLED
Beat the eggs and pour in greased pan. Use spatula to gently fold and mix. Again, depending on your liking, soft scrambled is cooked slowly and takes less time in the pan than hard scrambled.
To achieve varying taste, you can add milk, quick-melt cheese, or both to the egg mixture.
SUNNY SIDE UP
The quickest, most popular way to do the eggs is sunny side up. Just crack the egg open directly into a greased pan and fry until the sides are brown. There’s another familiar version which is Over Easy, this will just require to carefully flip the egg.
OMELET
Beat the eggs and pour in greased pan. Top with your choice of filling, and carefully fold. You can find 100 ways to have your omelet, if you’re adventurous with what you fill it with.
FRITTATA
Unlike omelet, this way is to add your choice ingredient into the egg mixture already before frying or baking. This is not a popular choice over omelet but works well if you just want to blend and go. This can also be served cold too.
So there, any other ways you’ve tried to cook an egg? Please feel free to share with us through the comment below. Have a happy breakfast! 🙂
